February Playlist
Hello guys 'n gals 'n everyone in between! It's nearly the end of the second month, meaning it's time for my monthly playlist. Love was in the air on Valentine's Day...for some people. Not for us singles. But still! I actually had a great Valentine's Day. I hung out with my friends, wrote a killer song, and ate candy. So it was pretty much ideal.
I also had a rehearsal for a charity show I'm putting on next month! Unfortunately I won't have any tickets available for most people; it's just for family and close friends. HOWEVER, the next time I do a show (maybe in June?) it will probably be at a bigger venue and I will be inviting anyone who wants to come out to the show! For now, though, I might be posting videos from the show on my YouTube channel (http://youtube.com/jensenmcraeofficial) and photos of the performers on my website (http://jensenmcrae.com). The show is in March, so I'll let you know more deets about that once it goes down.
Anyway, I have songs for y'all, so if you were looking for some tunes to finish off this winter season, here is my February playlist!

Talk to ya later! xo

January Playlist
January Playlist
So the glorious month of January is nearly over. My midterms are (blessedly) done, so tomorrow marks the start of a new semester (though admittedly not much changes). For me, that means it's time to start thinking a little more seriously about my future. In a week I start picking courses for my senior year, and I'm going to start making more legitimate college lists...! I have 3 more semesters of high school left, and I'm going to make them count.
In other news, my cover of "Pompeii" by Bastille (which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9eotfQsik0) has passed 6,000 views! I'm really excited about how well Google AdWords has been working for me, and with the response I've been getting via word-of-mouth. Please check it out if you haven't already, and spread the word! Plus, you can tweet it to Dan Smith (@BASTILLEdan) and get him to watch it, too!
For these last few days of January, please enjoy my monthly playlist!

That'll do it for my January playlist. I hope everybody's 2014 is off to a good start, that your midterms and finals went well, that your winter breaks were restful and festive. So far, my new year is living up to expectations; I'm happy and peaceful and I haven't felt much turbulence. Still, I remain prolific; this month I wrote twelve songs...the calendar might rotate but some things never change :) Love y'all, keep checking this thing (if anybody does at all) and good luck in February! Who knows? Maybe this year you'll have a Valentine (or way better than that, you'll go to the Imagine Dragons concert on February 14, to which I am forbidden from going...argh). See ya soon!

December Playlist
December Playlist
So the last month of 2013 is almost over. Only 5 days until the new year. I have been looking forward to this calendar change for a while; I'm ready to leave 2013 behind and start fresh. 2014 has so much promise, at least in my opinion. I've got a good feeling about it, for all of us.
In any case, 2013 is still not quite finished, and for your last few days of the year, you can check out my December playlist and coast into 2014 with some killer tunes on your iPod.
(On a totally separate note, my phone is almost full. I can't help myself. I only have a 16GB iPhone and I keep buying music even though I have something like 1500 songs. I'll need to get a 64GB soon...)
1. "Daydream" - 4:00

Air Dubai was definitely my favorite of the two, and "Warning" is absolutely flawless from one track to the next. Plus I got to meet Jake and the two lead singers of Air Dubai...can you say heartthrobs?! :)

November Playlist
November Playlist
Happy November, ladies and gents! I'm wishing you a restful Thanksgiving as the penultimate month winds to a close...! How crazy is that?!
I'll post an update about my career shortly, but for now here's a list of fall songs to help you close out November. The weather in LA has been just divine--chilly but not too cold, of course, just the perfect sweater weather. There's been a touch of rain, but mainly the leaves are changing and there's a briskness in the air that invites sitting by the fire with a mug of some seasonal Starbucks drink. School isn't getting any easier, but maybe I'm getting a little smarter. Though I have to be honest, I'm putting off some AP U.S. History homework as I type this...
Enjoy my November Playlist! (If anybody reads this nonsense...!)
1. "Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You" - 2:54

September Playlist
With school well underway, me (finally!) 16, and the autumn weather just starting to peek through the indomitable heat of LA, it is time for none other than my September playlist!
Listen in or out of order. I just love these songs, and I think they're a great transition from summer music into some mellower fall stuff. I'm ready for sweaters and pumpkins and all that jazz. Even though God knows LA is basically a weather controlled bubble…hey, let's be honest, as much as we'd all love some seasons, you can't hate warm weather year round! August Playlist
Hey guys! I only have nine days left of summer...seriously weeping right now. But it has been August for a while, which means it's time for my August playlist. Here are my favorite songs for August!
Also, I'm gonna do something slightly different where I don't do any setup for the songs. I'm gonna let them to stand on their own. Tell me what you think (on another note, does anybody read this blog?!)
Listen to it in order or not, but just for the record, I usually do :-)
(Also I apologize for the absurd amount of Nana Grizol. My friend got me obsessed with "Ruth.")
August Playlist
1. "Galaxies" - 2:55
ALBUM: "Ruth"
ARTIST: Nana Grizol
2. "On Brevity" - 3:10
ALBUM: The Simple Life
ARTIST: Josh Woodward
3. "Empire" - 3:37
ALBUM: Everything Under the Sun
ARTIST: Jukebox the Ghost
4. "Mr. Brightside" - 3:42
ALBUM: Hot Fuss
ARTIST: The Killers
Side Note: I'm a terrible human being! The only song I know by The Killers is "Mr. Brightside!" Hipsters, please don't pour hot tea on me!!
5. "Cynicism" - 2:28
ALBUM: "Ruth"
ARTIST: Nana Grizol
6. "Sweater Weather" - 4:00
ALBUM: I Love You.
ARTIST: The Neighbourhood
7. "Manhattan" - 4:38
ALBUM: The Blessed Unrest
ARTIST: Sara Bareilles
Side Note: I have more Sara Bareilles on my iPod than any other artist, I think. Is that lame? Maybe? Okay, I'll take maybe over definitely.
8. "Quetzalcoatl is Born" - 2:21
ALBUM: Zopilote Machine
ARTIST: The Mountain Goats
9. "Gracias a La Vida" - 4:22

12. "Fly Girl" - 2:40
ALBUM: Playtime - EP

I love EVERY SONG on "Playtime" but Fly Girl is just my JAM oh my God. Seriously, buy the EP and listen to it because it is so much fun to dance to and be a stereotypical teenager to. :-)
13. "Heart It Races (As Played by Dr. Dog)" - 3:51
ALBUM: Heart It Races - EP
ARTIST: Dr. Dog (originally by Architecture in Helsinki)
Okay, so let me know what you think of this new format, and I would love music suggestions and feedback on my music. Sorry I've been sort of AWOL, but you can always count on my monthly playlist plus a few little extras!
See ya later!
